Data Protection Training

What we offer

At CalQRisk, we embed good risk management in all that we do and our data protection training courses are no exception.

Organisations are expected to adopt a risk-based approach to their data protection efforts and activities. The technical and organisational measures they put in place should be appropriate to the inherent risk to data subjects as a result of data processing activities. Too often the focus can be placed on technological controls, at the expense of human resource management. That's where CalQRisk Data Protection Training comes in.

We provide a wide range of data protection training, from introductory and refresher courses to more advanced sessions that cover specific topics such as Legitimate Interest Assessments, Data Protection Impact Assessments, and Data Breaches.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) doesn't set out specific staff training requirements but if your personnel haven't been adequately trained and a data breach occurs, there could be severe consequences for your organisation as a result - ranging from contract losses and reputation damage to regulatory sanctions and fines. In an effort to avoid these outcomes, you should be providing at least basic data protection training to all staff on a regular basis.

In addition to these introductory courses, we can provide a wide range of data protection training, including on more specific topics such as Legitimate Interest Assessments, Data Protection Impact Assessments, and Data Breaches.

All courses are delivered online in a workshop setting. However, depending on the extent of data protection training you require and the number of participants, in-house delivery may be possible.
