The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) is a framework for non-financial reporting which is mandatory for large companies in the EU. It includes information on sustainability practices, as well as human rights, social issues, and organization governance. The CSRD is meant to promote transparency as well as encourage businesses to operate more responsibly.
Who does it apply to?
The CSRD more than quadruples the number of companies required to report on sustainability, from the 11,000 covered by the NFRD to the nearly 50,000 that will be covered by the CSRD.
